Material information:

• Particleboard: Particleboard, known as chipboard, is a composite wood material made from small pieces of wood, usually pine or spruce, glued together under high pressure and temperature using resins. It is widely used in the manufacture of furniture, interior surfaces and structural applications. It is made from recycled materials and is resistant to bends, abrasions and other natural stresses.
• Metal: Metal is widely used in furniture making, offering a number of advantages over other materials. It is extremely wear-resistant, ideal for furniture intended for daily use in a demanding environment. It maintains its shape and structure perfectly, ensuring stability and longevity to the furniture. In addition to the properties mentioned above, the metal may have other characteristics, such as antimicrobial activity (copper) or superconductivity (molybdenum).
• Melamine: LPB Melamine (Low Pressure Melamine) is a synthetic material widely used in the surface treatment of chipboard in the manufacture of furniture and surfaces, due to its durability and ease of maintenance. It is applied to substrates such as MDF (Medium-density fibreboard) or OSB plywood to produce durable surfaces.

Maintenance instructions:

• Chipboard: To clean chipboard, you can use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water and mild detergent. Avoid excessive use of water and keep the surface dry after cleaning.
• Melamine: One of the most well-known materials in the field of furniture is melamine. To remove stains from the surface, use a soft cloth with lukewarm water and mild soap. Gently wipe the surface until the stain is removed. Melamine is sensitive to moisture, so it is important to protect it from water.
• Metal: If it’s any indoor metal, a regular dusting or cleaning with a damp cloth is the way to go. However, if it is metal outdoor furniture, you should follow the steps below:

1. For longer protection, coat your metal furniture with a protective cream that is easily available at commercial stores.
2. If your furniture is processed and painted using the powder-coating method (electrostatic painting) then it is very durable and easy to clean with a damp cloth.
3. If your metal furniture does not have an electrostatic paint, then you should take extra care of it and keep it away from water and moisture. You can cover them with special covers and in the winter put them indoors if you can.
4. If you notice rust, then remove it with turpentine and then apply an anti-rust varnish before painting the surface with an oxidation-resistant paint.
